These engines were built with easy maintenance and reliability in mind. With easy access to all major serviceable components.

EMD 12-645 Marine Propulsion Units are complete with Pneu Grip air clutch, Lufkin reverse reduction gears, ratio 3.028  : 1. Woodward PGA 100 GL governors.

Purpose built for a range of marine type vessels including tugs, cargo and offshore support vessels.
