These EMD 645 engines are the 2 stroke, v12 cylinder engine versions. Producing a high power output of 1500 hp at 900 rpm. Water cooled with heat exchangers.

Weighing approximately just over 8 tons.

These engines were built with easy maintenance and reliability in mind. With easy access to all major serviceable components.

EMD 645 Marine Propulsion Units are complete with Pneu Grip air clutch, Lufkin reverse reduction gears, ratio 3.028  : 1. Woodward PGA 100 GL governors.

Purpose built for a range of marine type vessels including tugs, cargo and offshore support vessels.
